I am a Choice applicant interested in the Aviation Program. How does admissions work?

Admission to the Aviation Program for Choice applicants works similarly to admission to the General HS Program. Applicants are selected by lottery.   Academic achievement is not a factor in admission.  Applicants are asked to respond to an essay prompt in the application explaining their interest in aviation.

Please note that Choice applicants interested in Magnet or IB AND Aviation should apply to Magnet or IB.  If admitted, they will have the opportunity to select Aviation courses as electives if their schedule permits.

Choice applicants admitted to MHRD as Aviation students will NOT be able to apply to Magnet or IB at a later date.
