Flex Spending Account (AmeriFlex)
Information on Flexible Spending Open Enrollment 26-27
- Open enrollment for the district's Flexible Spending account program through Ameriflex for medical, dependent care, and commuter expenses for the benefit plan year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 will open on Monday, April 20, 2026.
- The portal is accessible for eligible employees who are working the full contract year. If you are not working the full contract year please contact me for separate enrollment forms.
- If you are currently enrolled & would like to continue participation for the new plan year, you MUST re-enroll.
- The maximum annual amount you may add to a Flexible Spending account(FSA) for medical expenses is $3,400 for the plan year. At the end of the plan year, up to $680 of unused funds may be carried over for use in the next plan year. The carryover amount can never exceed $680. Any unused funds in excess of $680 at the end of the plan year will be forfeited.
- The maximum annual amount you may add to a Dependent Care account(DCA) is $7,500 per family, $7,500 for single unmarried individuals and $3.750 for married couples filing taxes individually with no carryover allowed. The grace period for submission of claims ends September 15, 2027.
- The maximum contribution for the Commuter Reimbursement Account is $340.00/month.
- Enrollment will be processed online through the Ameriflex portal.

- The pprtal will close on Friday, May 8, 2026. No changes will be permitted after May 8, 2026.
