Dear Morris Knolls Community,

This year will certainly be unique and challenging, as we continue to address the multitude of issues associated with COVID-19.  Our goal remains to provide the best education possible to our students in the safest manner.  We will need to work together, as a school community, to create solutions to problems and scenarios that we have never faced before.  We must support each other and take every step necessary to get us back to the Golden Eagle Way of Life.

Building off of last year's theme of "Protecting the Nest", our theme for the 2021 - 2022 school year is "TIME TO SOAR".  It is our time to rise above it all and soar!  Let's approach the new year with a growth mindset and strive for EXCELLENCE in the classroom, on our athletic fields, and on our stages.  There is nothing that we can not accomplish, together as a school community.  In a storm, most birds shelter, Eagles choose to soar above the clouds.  No matter the storm, soaring is always an option.  MK, spread your wings and fly.  It's TIME TO SOAR!

My staff and I are looking forward to working with you as partners in education to ensure the success of our students. This year will be exciting and I hope that you will join us in making this a rewarding and memorable experience.  I encourage you all to play an active role in your child’s high school experience and volunteer to be a part of our Home and School Association, the Project Graduation Committee, Booster Clubs for sports and activities, and all of our other programs.

If you ever have an issue or concern during the school year, we are here to help. We believe in forging positive relationships with our parents and we will do everything we can to help our students achieve excellence.

Please know that my door is always open and I welcome your involvement. Please feel free to reach out to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to make this a great year! I can be reached at 973-664-2201 or via email at rmacnaughton@mhrd.org.

Have a great year, and GO EAGLES!

    With Golden Eagle Pride,

    Ryan MacNaughton
