• Student Homework Board Policy 2330

The Morris Hills Regional District Board of Education endorses a concept of homework as independent study and as an integral part of the students' educational program. It believes that carefully planned homework assignments contribute to the development of the students' ability to learn, to create and to utilize what they learned in school.

A coordinated effort is essential. Such a process embraces the combined resources and talents of student, parents, and teachers.

    Homework Objectives
    • Extend learning beyond the classroom.
    • Reinforce learning experiences by providing opportunities for practice, integration, application, and discovery.
    • Encourage the use of independent research skills.
    • Develop self-discipline and responsibility for individual planning and study habits.
