ACADEMIC DECATHLON



The Academic Decathlon is a ten event academic competition for high school teams. Each school has three teams for students with A, B and C averages. The teams prepare informally for most of the school year. Students then participate in a day-long event that involves testing, writing, speaking, and a quiz show competition. Each school competes first on a regional level, then depending upon competition results, may advance to the state and national levels.
