OverviewThe Morris Hills Regional District will be offering the following Summer Acceleration Courses during the Summer of 2019 for motivated students who are looking to get ahead in high school:
Each course above will earn full, transcripted high school credit and is aligned with the NJ Student Learning Standards. Any motivated student who meets the prerequisites and will be in grades 9-12 in the 2019-2020 school year is eligible to participate. Middle school students (entering 8th grade in 2019-2020) will be considered for Algebra I on an individual basis and must have a middle school math teacher and middle school principal approval.*NEW* Robotics Preview One-Week Course for Students in Grades 6-7 (not for high school credit). Click on Program Information to the right to access the Summer Robotics application in the Winter/Spring of 2019.*NEW* Summer Writing Camp for Rising Seniors:
- Algebra I (5 credit course)- Please note: state regulations require all students to take the NJSLA-Algebra I (formerly known as the PARCC exam) at the end of this course.
- Geometry Honors (5 credit course)- Please note: state regulations require all students to take the NJSLA-Geometry (formerly known as the PARCC exam) at the end of this course.
- Personal Finance (2.5 credit course).
- SAT Prep Math & Language Arts (2.5 credit course).
College-bound students will leave this three-day workshop with a complete draft of their college application essay.
