James Jencarelli - Superintendent

James Jencarelli became Superintendent of the Morris Hills Regional District in August 2009. Prior to being the Chief School Administrator for the Carlstadt-East Rutherford Board of Education and Principal at Henry P. Becton Regional High School, he held various administrative responsibilities at the high school and district level, and was a teacher of Mathematics and Computer Science. He has a broad background in administration, technology and classroom instruction, as well as experience as a high school football and basketball coach.
Dr. Nisha Zoeller - Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction
Education: BS English Education/Psychology from New York University, MA Applied Psychology from New York University, M.S. Ed. Educational Administration from University of Scranton, D.Litt. Humanities from Drew University
Dr. Nisha Zoeller joined the Central Office in February 2009 after serving as the Supervisor of Guidance at Morris Hills High School from 2006-2008. Before joining our district, she worked at the Union County Magnet High School for Math, Science, and Technology as a guidance counselor and English teacher and at the New York University Undergraduate Admissions Office. She recently completed her doctorate at Drew University with a focus on historiography.

Joann Gilman joined the District in July 2008 after twenty six years with Jersey City Public Schools. She began her career as a staff accountant in 1982. She held various positions in the District including Budget Director and Assistant Business Administrator. The last nine years she served as Business Administrator/Board Secretary.
Peter Lazzaro - Supervisor of Human Resources
Education: BS Business Education, Montclair State
College, MA Counseling, Human Services & Guidance, Montclair State
Peter Lazzaro has been employed by the Morris Hills Regional District
since 1986. He has served as
Business/Computer Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Coach of
Football/Softball/Tennis, and most recently District Consulting Teacher for the
Business Department. He has extensive
experience as a negotiations consultant and as an employee advocate.
Nicholas Norcia - District Director of Special Services
Education: BA Special Education from New Jersey City University, MA in Educational Leadership, New Jersey City University, L.D.T.C, William Paterson University
Nicholas Norcia began his career in special education while working part time as an aide in a private special education school during college. Realizing his love for education, he decided to change his major. After graduating from New Jersey City University he began teaching special education at Nutley High School. he went on to earn a master's degree in Educational Leadership from New Jersey City University. Upon completion of this degree he pursued additional post graduate work for his certification in L.D.T.C. and special education at William Paterson University. He served as a L.D.T.C. for Nutley Public Schools. Before coming to Morris Hills Regional he was Director of Special Services for Cedar Grove Public Schools. He is also an adjunct professor at William Paterson University where he teaches special education and regular education majors.
