James Jencarelli became Superintendent of the Morris Hills Regional District in August 2009. Prior to being the Chief School Administrator for the Carlstadt-East Rutherford Board of Education and Principal at Henry P. Becton Regional High School, he held various administrative responsibilities at the high school and district level, and was a teacher of Mathematics and Computer Science. He has a broad background in administration, technology and classroom instruction, as well as experience as a high school football and basketball coach. 

 

Dr. Nisha Zoeller - Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction

Education:  BS English Education/Psychology from New York University, MA Applied Psychology from New York University, M.S. Ed. Educational Administration from University of Scranton, D.Litt. Humanities from Drew University

 

Dr. Nisha Zoeller joined the Central Office in February 2009 after serving as the Supervisor of Guidance at Morris Hills High School from 2006-2008. Before joining our district, she worked at the Union County Magnet High School for Math, Science, and Technology as a guidance counselor and English teacher and at the New York University Undergraduate Admissions Office. She completed her doctorate at Drew University with a focus on historiography.

Education: BS Accounting, Monmouth University, MA in Administration and Supervision, New Jersey City University, Registered Business Administrator New Jersey Association of School Business Officials

 

Joann Gilman joined the District in July 2008 after twenty six years with Jersey City Public Schools. She began her career as a staff accountant in 1982. She held various positions in the District including Budget Director and Assistant Business Administrator. The last nine years she served as Business Administrator/Board Secretary.

 

Dan Haug - Supervisor of Human Resources

Education: BS Environmental Studies - Stockton University, MA Educational Leadership - New Jersey City University

 

Dan started his educational career in 1999 as a Physical Science Teacher at Bridgewater-Raritan. He then made the move to Kittatinny Regional High School where he taught Science, coached multiple sports, and eventually worked as an Instructional Supervisor of various departments. Moving to the Morris Hills Regional District in 2015, Dan was an Assistant Principal at Morris Knolls until he acquired the position of Supervisor of Human Resources in 2021.
