• Curriculum
     
    The Academy curriculum provides the most able of students with a structured course experience in preparation for careers in mathematics, science, or engineering. Students attend classes in an extended school day program. Students must enroll in nine courses per year and complete 170 credits for graduation. 
     
    Grading System:
    • Quarterly grading system
    • Based on a 100-point numerical scale
    • Final course grade is calculated using four marking period grades (each worth 20%) and three quarter assessments given at the end of the 1st, 2nd, and 4th marking periods (worth 6%, 6%, and 8%, respectively) or a final project (worth 20%)
    • Honors classes (H) earn 5 extra points when calculating the GPA
    • AP courses earn 10 extra points when calculating the GPA
