    The Art Department recognizes the significance of homework as an independent form of enhanced learning and as a reinforcement strategy. Art assignments vary according to course content. Frequently, assigned work may include preparatory sketches, problem solving and extended projects which provide opportunities for practice with the techniques emphasized in class. Advanced Placement Art Studio and Art History classes require additional time for completion of independent projects, which includes both reading and written assignments, as well as summer assignments in accordance with Advanced Placement requirements.
