    Morris Knolls High School Athletic Weekly

    This is the last weekly until end of season wrap up!

     

    BASEBALL:   

    Currently ranked the # 10 in the state according to www.nj.com.  Fell to Chatham and State power Don Bosco Prep before beating Mendham and Morris Hills.  Luke Dickerson is the state leader in home runs with 15.

    Current record is 21-4

     

    SOFTBALL:  

    Also ranked # 10 in the www.nj.com rankings.  The girls clinched another division championship and challenged themselves playing top ranked Mount St Dominic’s to an exciting 8-7 defeat.  The team batting average is nearly .400 with an impressive 2.0 ERA.

    Current record is 17-3

     

    BOYS  TRACK:

    GIRLS TRACK:

    BOYS TENNIS:

    A wet week has put a damper on the schedule playing only West Morris Central, however they will compete today in the MCT and have qualified for the NJSIAA state tournament.

    Current record is 4-11

     

    BOYS GOLF

    Golf is shooting well this season as they lost a close match to Sparta 160-161 and beat Vernon 158-178. Nick Tecchio, Billy Sobieski and Adan Goldstein all shot below 40 on the week.

    Current Record is 9-8

     

    GIRLS GOLF

    Freshman Olivia Gaglione has been the most consistent golfer on the season shooting a 38 this week. Kendyl Croft shot well in a win over sparta.

    Current record is 11-1

    GIRLS LACROSSE

    Beat Mountain Lakes 13-8 and followed with tough losses to 2 of the better teams in the state.  Jr Vanessa Russo had 5 goals and Addy Walker had 7 goals on the week.

    Current record is 6-10

    BOYS LACROSSE

    Lost to Delbarton in MCT semifinals but bounced back with wins over West Morris and Mendham.  Seah Hogan, Kyle Hardie and Brian Crossan have been leading scorers on the week.

    Current record is 15-2

     

    UNIFIED TRACK AND FIELD/FLAG FOOTBALL:

    Won an exciting game to Morristown HS 25-20 on Thursday afternoon. Quinn Crouse and Jimmy Lopez escorted 2 out of the 4 touchdowns.  Next game will be at home against West Orange on 5/22. 

    The Morristown invitational was filled with excitement. Our athletes won medals and ribbons in the 100m , 200m , 400m, and long jump.
