The Astronomy Club has "Star Parties" where we meet at Gifford Field to help students see, through a telescope, the marvels of our night sky. A local amateur astronomer, Mr. Steve Vetrero, brings his telescope and uses his skills to see sights that most high school students might never see. Even though the light pollution up at Gifford leaves much to be desired, the students still enjoy the what they see and learn about the solar system and galaxy that they live in.
