Morris Knolls
High School

Overview

To be a member of the Morris Knolls Varsity Club, a student must be a varsity letter winner, and either petition the advisors through a letter of intention to join the club or purchase a Varsity Club age 15 jacket. Ordering a Varsity Club jacket will signify the purchaser’s intention of joining the club. Either avenue of joining, by letter petition or the purchase of a jacket, will give that student fill rights in the club. Students may only join the club after successfully completing a varsity sport at Morris Knolls.

Officers consisting of a President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary and Secretary-Treasurer are elected each year. Meetings are held in Gym 4 and scheduled as needed by the president and approved by the advisors. The Morris Knolls Varsity Club stimulates general interest in all athletics; promotes greater participation in sports; fosters enthusiastic team and school spirit; engenders among the athletes of this school the highest qualities of fellowship, sportsmanship, and honor; and maintains pleasant relationships with other educational institutions.

All members agree to respect the authority of all officials of the Varsity Club, to observe and cooperate in all rules of the organization in upholding the reputation and honor of Morris Knolls High School, to take part in all club activities and act in whatever capacity necessary for the benefit of the club. The major activities of the club are the acquisition of Varsity Club jackets, Senior All Sports Banquet, Senior Awards at the All Sports Banquet, donations to various organizations, and at least one or two trips each year to professional games. During the holidays, the Varsity Club coordinates the Toys for Tots program for underprivileged children.
